Yesterday I woke to sad news. Sure, I'm going to miss Sandra Day O'Connor on the Supreme Court, but I'm talking about the loss of Luther Vandross. It's not that I even have the complete collection of his music or anything, it's just ...well, his music really touched me. It must have been the time period ... it was a mainstay of Jr High dances and house parties. Slow dancing to Luther while struggling with adolescence, growing pains, emerging independence.
