I went back to the Y ... to confront the scale. It's still evil.
My tape measure is much friendlier, so I will stick with that. The ultimate goal is to be fit and healthy, and be able to wear old summer clothes and not have to go out and buy bigger ones. And I'm well on my way, Yay!
But my body aches. And most days I'm ready for a nap by about 4PM.
But every morning I have tons of energy, (after 20 mins resting with an ice pack on my swollen ankle). Even before coffee.
And I feel stronger ... when I'm not too tired to make it up the stairs. Or too sore.
A hot shower feels good. And a day of rest, well earned, feels even better.
